HEADACHES

PT management will include Postural Restoration to improve breathing, and thoracic mechanics using exercises and/or manual therapy techniques.


NECK PAIN
PT can often alleviate neck pain with the use of manual or mechanical traction, therapeutic exercises and improving posture.

SACROILIAC JOINT PAIN

PT can alleviate pelvic floor pain using strategies taught by the Postural Restoration Institute and the Herman and Wallace Pelvic Rehabilitation Institute.


KNEE PAIN
PT can alleviate knee pain using repositioning exercises, therapeutic activities, manual therapy (e.g. joint mobilization, massage), gait training with an assistive device, pain relieving modalities, kinesiotaping, and/or patient education in shoe wear and/or custom orthotics.


STRESS FRACTURES
Pain management, strength recovery and prevention of future stress fractures is important.  PT can manage stress fractures by gait training with an assistive device, pain relieving modalities for pain and healing such as the laser and repositioning exercises and patient education (shoe wear and training errors) to help prevent future stress fractures. 


ANKLE SPRAIN
PT management includes laser for pain and healing, taping for stabilization and to alleviate pain, therapeutic activities to improve strength and proprioception and shoe wear education to help prevent future ankle sprains.


DIZZINESS
PT can help identify benign paroxysmal positional vertigo and prescribe appropriate positional techniques to alleviate dizziness.
